The Name
The name 'Afluence' is a deviation of the word Affluence. I chose the name Afluence mostly because I liked how it sounded and looked. Also the meaning of the original word is quite nice.
The Site
Afluence was created on August 10, 2006. It is mostly a graphic/resource site but once in a while I may feel the need to put a little something else in here. So technically, Afluence is a graphic/resource/personal site, mostly graphic though. :)
The History
I started web designing around the end of 2005. My very first graphic site was Eternal Dreams which was hosted at T35. It lasted around 1 - 2 months until I couldn't stand the pop-ups anymore and I decided to find a different host.
Thus, the beginning of Klairvoyance Designs, my second graphic site which was hosted by the awesome Haia at Silentcross. Klairvoyance was opened for about 6 months and was my first real graphic site. After those six months I decided that I was really into web design and wanted to buy my own domain, the results of which is Afluence.
Once I opened Afluence, I updated regularly [for the most part anyways...]for the rest of 2006, but in 2007 this site was practically dead except for the random update here and there. Near the end of 2007, I decided to try and get Afluence back up and running and after a few tries, and some technical difficulties, I am quite happy to say that Afluence is a running site and will hopefully stay that way.
